Amy Johnston serves as a Retirement Plan Consultant for Qualified Plan Advisors. Amy is a retirement professional with over 15 years of retirement and finance industry experience. In her role, she works with organizations to design retirement plans to support their business objectives and benefit their employees. She provides insight and tools on the best practices and oversees any plan changes. 

Amy enjoys taking the complex retirement plan system, and making it simple, beneficial, and one of the best employees benefits we can give to the American worker. She says, “The retirement plan industry tends to create roadblocks for employers and employees like how much should I save? Is this the right plan? What investments should I choose? Will I have enough?”

She is passionate about making this easier for the American workers and business owners, removing these roadblocks, and empowering them to feel comfortable, secure, and take action when needed.

Prior to joining QPA, Amy was with Principal Financial Group, where she served roles in both retirement plan sales and retirement plan service. She has also held roles at Empower Retirement in retirement plan services and education.

Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She holds a CRC® (Certified Retirement Counselor), AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) Designation, Series 65 securities registration, and life and health license as well. 

In her free time, Amy enjoys hiking, backpacking, and exploring the great outdoors. She also enjoys yoga and reading a wide array of books. She currently resides in Omaha, NE with her daughter.
