Matthew has more than 14 years of private legal practice focusing exclusively on employee benefits and serves as the Director of ERISA Services for QPA. He has worked closely with fiduciaries overseeing plans of all sizes, from a few to more than 36,000 participants and with assets exceeding $2.2 billion, and has represented clients in front of the IRS and DOL. He previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Baylor Law Review and is currently the Chair of the Defined Contribution Plans Subcommittee for the American Bar Association’s Tax Section. Matthew spends his spare time coaching teams for his three sons, running, and being supportive of a REbeL, Inc., a non-profit founded by his wife, Laura.

Marco Melero has over a decade of financial service experience and currently functions as a Multicultural Education Strategist. He has extensive knowledge in working with retirement plan committees and a specialty in working with the Hispanic workforce by providing a culturally relevant education experience to plan participants. With his parents being first generation Americans, his passion stems from his humble beginnings and realizing at young age the strong need for financial education for the Hispanic population. During his personal time off he enjoys traveling with his wife Valery and son Lorenzo, and they just spent the holidays in Mexico with family.
