Joey is a proud Partner, Financial Advisor, and Retirement Plan Specialist at Prime Capital Investment Advisors (PCIA) and Qualified Plan Advisors (QPA). He specializes in retirement plans, business owners, and higher net-worth individuals, with a primary focus on education.

A proud Gorilla alumnus, Joey attended Pittsburg State University. He played five years of college football, winning the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2011. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State, graduating with honors in 2013. Joey then went on to be the student-president of the Pittsburg State Graduate School and advisory committee. He acquired his Master’s degree in 2015 and currently holds his Series 65 license, Life & Health.

As an accomplished educator and financial advisor, Joey has dedicated his life to helping others succeed. Following graduate school, Joey was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he graduated at the top of his class in Quantico, Virginia and then later stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In 2018, as an Infantry Officer and tactical advisor, Lieutenant Joey Zdeb led his platoon of 42 Marines in combat while deployed in Afghanistan, before transitioning to the Reserves as a Captain. He is most proud of getting everyone in his platoon safely home.

Outside of Qualified Plan Advisors, Joey is very active and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hunting, and fishing. He is involved with many local organizations including War Horses for Veterans, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Boy Scouts of America being a former Eagle Scout himself. Joey lives in Shawnee, Kansas with his fiance, Emily, and their 3 dogs.
